The Pima County Department of Transportation is seeking an artist to design and create public art to enhance transportation improvements along Magee Road from Mona Lisa Road to La Cañada Drive. Call to Artist for Public Art Design – Sound Walls
Cortaro Road/Magee Road from Thornydale Road to Oracle Road, Tucson, Arizona
Budget for Design: $30,000
Application Deadline: Friday, April 2, 2010 4:00 p.m.
The Pima County Department of Transportation is seeking an artist to design sound walls as part of transportation improvements along the Cortaro Road/Magee Road corridor from Thornydale Road to Oracle Road. The final designs will be incorporated into the roadway construction drawings. Pre-submission Meeting: A pre-submission information meeting for artists interested in applying for this project will be held Monday March 15 at 3:30 p.m. in the TPAC conference room on the first floor, Room 109 at 100 North Stone Ave (the Pioneer building). Both Cortaro calls will be reviewed at this same Presubmission Meeting. At the Pre-submission Meeting, the Project Manager and representatives from Pima County and the Tucson Pima Arts Council will provide additional information about the project.
