The Arts and Economic Prosperity IV (AEP IV) is a federal study coordinated by Americans for the Arts (AFTA). Building on the AEP III completed in 2005, the study collects data about the arts and culture environment in Pima County in three ways.
First, TPAC will develop a comprehensive list of nonprofit arts and culture organizations in the county with some understanding of what kinds of services and programming these organizations offer. Second, TPAC will ask these organizations to utilize the Arizona Cultural Data Project and complete an organizational profile. Since TPAC is already a funding partner for the Arizona Cultural Data Project, these two projects will overlap and complement each other. Third, TPAC will solicit a minimum of 800 audience surveys during the 2011 calendar year. The one-page survey is designed to capture demographic and economic data from art patrons around the county with the goal of measuring the economic impact of arts and culture programming.
AEP IV data will be made available to the community in the spring of 2012.
