The Tucson Pima Arts Council, in collaboration with the owners of the historic Pioneer Building, invites artists to submit exhibit proposals for the Pioneer Entrance Lobby, adjoining TPAC Conference Room and 3rd Floor Corridor, where TPAC’s offices are located.
In addition to this opportunity, the names of selected artists will be retained for possible future display in the Mayor’s Office.
Pioneer Building exhibitions last approximately 12 weeks and include a hosted reception and promotion on the TPAC website. Participating artists benefit from exposure to a select group of TPAC visitors with strong connections to the arts.
In addition, the spacious and well-lit Pioneer Lobby offers an ideal venue for showcasing art, with high levels of traffic and visibility. More than just a pass-through to the Pioneer’s many agencies and offices, the Lobby serves as a rest stop, where members of the public are often found conducting meetings, accessing Wi-Fi, sipping on cappuccinos from Ike’s Café—and enjoying the art on display.
All forms of two- and three-dimensional media will be considered and there is no fee to submit a proposal. The deadline for submissions is July 25th at 12 Noon. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel made up of professional artists and community members.
Artists interested in participating are encouraged to attend an informational meeting at the Pioneer Building, 100 N. Stone, Suite 109, on July 9th at 4 p.m. (no reservation required).
